Game Day and Venue Manager – HSL

 

Location

Grovehill Ballpark, Washington Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP2 6LB

 

Financial terms

£40 per game day

 

Employment status

Self-employed status in accordance with HMRC guidelines. Self-employed individuals are responsible for calculating and paying their own tax and NICs on any payments made to them.

 

Time commitment

The HSL event is played over 3 weekends (both Saturdays and Sundays) in March and April. Game days begin at around 10am and end at around 6pm or 7pm.

 

Project description

Herts Baseball Club is the organiser of the HSL a pre-season competition for teams from around the UK.

 

It is a competition which is organised and hosted by the club at a high standard and has established a good reputation consistently filling all available team slots.

 

Responsibilities

·         Open and close the venue for every event or delegate this task to another member of staff

·         Implement field maintenance procedures before, during and after each game day

·         Ensure Pavilion building is locked and left in clean condition

·         Provide assistance/advice to visiting teams and fans, where necessary

·         Co-ordinate financial aspects with Treasurer e.g. pass on payment to umpires etc.

·         Good management and organisational skills.

·         Friendliness and approachability.
