Location

Administrative duties can be carried out from home. Midweek events at Grovehill Ballpark in Hemel Hempstead.

 

Financial terms

£60 per season

Employment status

Self-employed status in accordance with HMRC guidelines. Self-employed individuals are responsible for calculating and paying their own tax and NICs on any payments made to them.

 

Time commitment

12 weekly sessions, from mid-April to mid-August. Sessions take place on a weekday (most likely Wednesday or Thursday) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

 

Project description

Herts Baseball Club is looking to run midweek evening training sessions for members of the club and for those who are new to the club and want to try baseball with a view to joining. 

 

This project will involve work with male and female players who are 14 or above.

 

The objective of these sessions is to develop and improve existing players of the club, to prepare them for upcoming league games and to make this an enjoyable additional event for club members.

 

Responsibilities

·         Oversee and manage Midweek Baseball Events

·         Issue a schedule of Midweek Baseball Events

·         Appoint coaches and other staff needed to run these events and delegate duties accordingly;

·         Plan and co-ordinate these events with other staff members involved

·         Work together with the club’s media department to promote and publicise these events

·         Communicate event and other details to players by email or using the club’s online tools.

·         Keep an attendance register and co-ordinate with Treasurer to ensure that only current members and those entitled to a free session are participating at the event

·         Ensure that field maintenance procedures are followed before/after events

·         Promote fair play, team standards and Codes of Conduct.
