| The Herts Baseball Little League welcomes boys and girls aged from 6 to 16+. The League welcomes players from complete beginners to accomplished professionals. The League receives enquiries from many new players, coaches, umpires and scorers and they are able to join the League at any point throughout the year.Here is what you can expect if you decide to join the Herts Baseball Little League:• We start pre-season Spring Training in March/April with sessions on Saturdays.• The actual league games commence in May and end in July.
• In August and September there are various other events such as the National Baseball Championships where we send our best teams to represent Herts. • in September we host the Herts Futures Tournament at our home ballpark in Hemel Hempstead where our Herts teams compete against teams from around the country. • ahead of big games teams sometimes attend special midweek training sessions. • We are also very fortunate that our Herts youth players benefit from the MLB Envoy programme and over the last few seasons have had the privilege of being coached by Sam Dempster who is a member of the Milwaukee Brewers coaching staff and is the Brewers’ scout for Europe, as well as Great Britain National Team Manager, Stephan Rapaglia, and other members of the Great Britain National Teams. • Players from the Herts Baseball Little League are regularly monitored and assessed by the Great Britain National Team coaching staff and over the years many of our members have gone on to play for the Great Britain National Teams, representing their country in international competition at home and overseas. • We have one of the best baseball ballparks in the country with two purpose-built diamonds which recently hosted the National Baseball Championships which is Great Britain’s equivalent of MLB’s World Series.
