Attention Baseball Fans!
Don't miss out on the 2011 Herts Fantasy Baseball competition. In a bid to raise funds for Herts Little League, players 14 and older can enter a team into the Fantasy League, participate in a live auction to fill your roster with actual MLB superstars, and prove to the world that you have what it takes to Manage in the Majors!
Here's how it works:
- You donate £10 to Herts Little League using the PayPal links below. You will then receive an invitation to join the Herts Fantasy League as an owner of your own Fantasy Team. All proceeds go directly to the Herts youth programme.
- The League will have a live, online draft. All the owners will meet together in a cyber-convention to select their 25-man rosters. Each Manager will take it in turns to secure an unsigned player.
- When the real MLB season begins on 31 March, you manage your roster, trade for talent and sign free agents. You can alter your starting lineup daily if you like, make trades with other managers, and acquire new talent from the free agent pool. Depending on how your Fantasy players fare in the nightly real-world action, you will win or lose points based on ten key statistics: 5 offensive stats, and 5 defensive stats.
- Whoever has the most points come September at the end of the MLB regular season wins!
