Herts Rec League

The Herts Recreational League (HRL) is a new league created by Herts Baseball Club to promote baseball to as many people as possible. HRL is meant to provide a fun, social aspect to the game of baseball.

We understand everybody has busy lives, therefore, our main objectives of this league are to:

  • Introduce the game of baseball to new members of the community in a non-competitive environment
  • Provide current baseball players with an opportunity to play more baseball and improve their skills or try new positions
  • Establish and enhance the social aspect of baseball; helping to build a stronger foundation for baseball growth in the UK
  • Make the games dynamic and time constrained

We welcome players 14 and over of any skill level to join this league!

What are the key advantages of joining this league compared to the BBF sanctioned leagues?

  • Pay-as-you-go. There is no commitment to a full season. You pay for as many games as you want to play
  • Teams will be different each week to meet new players and play with/against different skilled players
  • Two hour limited games. You will know exactly what time you’re leaving and returning home
  • Official baseball rules will be modified to ensure everybody gets plenty of playing time
  • Quality managers to provide you with feedback and improve your game
  • And many others!
