Herts Rec League

The Herts Recreational League (HRL) is a new league created by Herts Baseball Club to promote baseball and softball to as many people as possible. HRL is meant to provide a fun, social aspect to the game of baseball and softball.

We understand everybody has busy lives, therefore, our main objectives of this league are to:

  • Introduce baseball and softball to new members of the community in a non-competitive environment
  • Provide current baseball and softball players with an opportunity to play more games and improve their skills or try new positions
  • Establish and enhance the social aspect of baseball and softball and offer the game to a wider audience
  • Make the games dynamic and time-limited

We welcome players 14 and over of any skill level to join this league!

What are the key advantages of joining this league compared to the BBF/BSF sanctioned leagues?

  • Pay-as-you-go. There is no commitment to a full season. You pay for as many games as you want to play
  • Teams will be different each week to meet new players and play with/against different skilled players
  • Two hour limited games. You will know exactly what time you’re leaving and returning home
  • Official baseball/softball rules will be modified to ensure everybody gets plenty of playing time
  • Quality managers to provide you with feedback and improve your game
  • And many others!
