Dear potential member,

Herts has experienced a growth spurt in the last few seasons, and club administration needs to keep pace with that. So we've decided it is time to transition to a new platform, Spond, to keep in touch with you all and to organise events smoothly.

You will need to install the Spond app on a mobile device. The links to the App Store and Google Play can be found on the homepage of Spond's website here: https://www.spond.com/.

Spond is a recognised leader in sports club administration and is already used by the British Baseball Federation for organising and coordinating with clubs. You can expect to see all the relevant information for your team activities, as well as details of club events, and be able to mark your availability -- all in one app.

It will also be possible to make payments through Spond for both membership fees and events. The direct debit system will remain in place but for membership fees only but there will be additional options to pay by credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. NOTE: All current direct debit mandates will be cancelled. If you wish to continue to pay by direct debit you will need to register a new mandate for the 2025 season and indicate that requirement at the start of the season.

We have been trialling Spond with the Herts Ravens Single-A team and the youth members. The responses to the app are very positive.
